The scale score descriptors give teachers an idea of the concepts that are tested, against the strands, and the progression of difficulty within each strand.  As the scale aligns with the NZ curriculum levels, this document can support teacher  knowledge regarding scaffolding students in their learning - what needs to be in place before moving on to the next concept.
